QuickBooks Online in Your Blue Crane App

Blue Crane builds and runs office apps for trade businesses. If you use QuickBooks Online, your app can keep your books up to date for you: every invoice you send goes into QuickBooks with its HST, every payment lands against its invoice, and a payment you record in QuickBooks shows as paid in the app.

Open your app

Each business has its own app at its own address. Sign in there on your phone, tablet or computer. If you do not have your app’s link, email info@bluecraneworks.ca or call or text 289 778 2064 and we will send it.

Connect or reconnect QuickBooks

1. In your app, open More, then Connections, then QuickBooks, and tap Connect.
2. Sign in to QuickBooks, pick your company and tap Connect on Intuit’s screen.
3. Back in the app, check the picks once: your HST code, and the items your labour, parts and service calls go under. Your QuickBooks customers come into the app at the same time.

From then on the app does it by itself. If QuickBooks ever turns an update down, the app tries again by itself, then alerts your phone and shows the reason with a Retry button on that invoice and under Connections. Nothing is dropped quietly.

Disconnect QuickBooks

Disconnect in the app (More, Connections, QuickBooks) or from the Apps page in QuickBooks. Either way the app stops sending to and reading from your QuickBooks.

• Everything already in QuickBooks stays there. The app never deletes anything in your books.
• Your customers, invoices and payments stay in the app, so you can keep working.
• To turn it back on, follow Connect or reconnect above.
