Blue Crane Works, in Hamilton, Ontario, sets up social media automation for small businesses: it posts to a business's Facebook Page, Instagram and Threads on a schedule. It posts through Meta's official APIs, never a browser bot, and writes only from facts the owner approves: their own pages, their own calendar, their own words. It runs today on three sets of accounts we post to, including a local news site and a ministry. Priced in writing for each business.

- Threads
One page of the business's own website, read that morning. The post may say only what that page says.
No price, no promise and no number the page does not carry. Anything else waits for the owner.
The grind
- A Facebook Page whose last post is months old
- Posting only when someone remembers, then three in one evening
- Tools that schedule posts but still need someone to write every one
- Bots that log in as you through a browser and get the account shut down
- Posts that make up a statistic or a promise the business never made
Where is it running today?
On three sets of accounts we post to every week. Each one shows a different way the same automation can work.
- Blue Crane Works posts to its own Facebook Page, Instagram and Threads on a fixed weekly rhythm, in a different format for each platform.
- Local Wire, a local news site, posts police releases and council decisions to its Facebook Page and Instagram the day they are published, using the story's own headline and link and no AI-written text at all.
- A ministry posts a daily Story cut word for word from its founder's books, its Saturday gathering from its own calendar, and a daily challenge written a month ahead and read by a person before it runs.
What we build
Every post goes through Meta's own Pages API, Instagram content publishing and Threads API, under a business login Meta issues for exactly this. No browser bot ever signs in as you, which is what gets accounts shut down.
A post is written from a source you approve, such as a page of your website, your calendar or your own text, and may say only what that source says. Nothing invents a number or a promise.
Each platform gets its own rhythm and its own format: a picture and caption for Instagram, a shorter question for Threads, a link post for Facebook.
A pause stops all posting at once while you rework what it says, and you can still preview the next posts while it is paused.
Your services, seasonal reminders, new pages and guides on your site, your events, or the work you finish, whichever you choose and in the voice you approve.
Your own photos from a shared folder, or a picture made for each post with no people in it, so nothing pretends to show a job that did not happen.
What it costs
Priced for each business in writing, before anything is signed, and added to the same monthly bill as your website or app if you have one with us.

What can it not post to?
Facebook Groups, for one. Meta deprecated the publish_to_groups permission for every version of its API from 22 April 2024, so no tool can post to a Group; a Page can share into a Group it is linked to, by hand. TikTok and YouTube each need their own approval and sign-in, set up per business and quoted separately. Your Google Business Profile posts need Google's own approval first. We tell you which of these apply before anything is quoted.
| Platform | Can it post? | Through |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook Page | Yes, running today | Meta's Pages API |
| Instagram professional account | Yes, running today | Meta's Instagram content publishing |
| Threads | Yes, running today | Meta's Threads API |
| Facebook Group | No, for any tool | Meta removed group posting from its API in April 2024 |
| TikTok, YouTube | Per business, quoted separately | Each platform's own approval and sign-in |
| Google Business Profile | Only after Google approves it | Google's own approval first |
Will it get my account flagged?
It is built not to. It posts through the same official doors Meta gives every business tool: the Pages API for a Facebook Page, content publishing for Instagram and the Threads API, under a login Meta issues for automated posting, at a pace a person would post. What gets accounts shut is software that signs in through a browser pretending to be you, and we do not build that.
Does it work with my website?
It works on its own, and it is better with a site that has something to say. On a managed website every new guide or service page can become a post the morning it goes live, linking straight back to the page. It sits beside the AI agents that answer your phone, texts and website chat, so the posts bring people in and the agents answer them.
What it replaces
- A social page that went quiet months ago
- Posting by hand when someone remembers
- A scheduling tool that still needs every post written
- Browser bots that put the account at risk
Who it is for
Local businesses that know they should post and never have the time: trades, shops, clinics, studios, churches and community groups. Available to businesses in Hamilton, Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Dundas, Waterdown, Burlington, Grimsby and Brantford, and remotely anywhere in Ontario.
What week one looks like
- A call with you: which accounts, what to post about, how often, and anything a post must never say.
- You give the automation access through Meta's own business settings. Your password is never shared with us.
- We set the sources and the schedule, and you read the first week of posts before any of them run.
- Then it runs, and you can pause it with one switch whenever you like.
